Medium breeds such as Australian Shepherds and Dobermans are more comfortable in a ramp of 24 inches wide (60 cm). Measures the appropriate width of the plywood, and cut with a sharp saw. Create a base of 8 feet (2.4 m) long for the ramp. Use the saw to cut the corresponding piece of wooden board 2×4 inches (5×10 cm). For example, if your ramp is 24 inches (60 cm) wide, measure and cut a piece of wood 24 inches (60 cm) wide.
